Cacti and Succulents are easily propagated from seeds and cuttings and therefore the removal of plants from habitat is uneccessary and to be deprecated. It is extremely unfortunate that the beaurocratic implimentation of CITES regulations is having a serious adverse effect on the artificial propagation and distribution of these plants and is currently doing more harm than good to real conservation.
